Today I managed to deliver our wonderful scarecrow to Antrim Gardens. The theme was to make a 'rubbish' Scarecrow - one that attract birds, insects and wildlife instead of scaring them away! Last week we set children the task to design scarecrows to give us ideas from the children (children have the best ideas!). We incorporated many ideas from the children. One was to call the Scarecrow Robbie Ash (said quickly, sounds like 'rubbish' in a quirky way). Children also came up with the idea of having nests in the body and a minibeast hotel for the legs. A massive thank you to everyone who contributed materials for the scarecrow. Thank you to Ms. Murray, staff and children for producing lovely decorations for it too. If anyone is at the Garden Show, feel free to go and see it and have a word with the organisers about how great our scarecrow 'Robbie Ash' is!
