We took a different aspect of safety each day and learnt how to keep ourselves safe in various situations. On Monday we learnt about Animal safety. We talked about how to be safe around animals and had an interactive presentation by Cats Protection. On Tuesday we learnt about all aspects of road safety and, during outdoor play, Reception, P1 and P2 practised how to be safe when crossing the road. Wednesday was water safety day when we looked at the dangers of being close to water. P4, 5 and 6 also participated in an e-safety workshop. On Thursday our focus was stranger danger. We watched videos which taught us how to react if approached by a stranger. We finished the week by focussing on fire safety on Friday. We learnt that we should never play with matches, what do if a fire occurs and P4 - P6 created a fire escape plan for their homes.
