We welcomed the Deputy Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Council, Councillor Leah Smyth as we planted a tree to mark the upcoming Coronation of King Charles III. Each child was given a garden trowel with a special Coronation label, to encourage them to garden. The children got to use their trowels and the special Coronation spade to plant the hazel tree which was kindly presented to us from the Deputy Mayor on behalf of the council. The children will at some stage get some wildflower seeds too! This creates a lovely legacy that each child at Duneane P.S. was apart of; and we hope that in years to come our children can look at this tree and remember that they helped to plant it to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III.
